Widdershins runs the clock,
The clock runs widdershins,
The scythe fades slowly back,
The old man, his life, did he retrack;
Grandchildren 13 did he possess,
The youngest but a tottering babe,
Of 10 months, 10 days, 10 hours old,
His life did he regret,
All the red that had to be shed,
He wished it wasn't so,
But his life cranked gently on,
Widdershins runs the clock,
The clock runs widdershins,
He was a man of 50 years,
Strong heart, less hair had he,
4 wives has he already had,
3 more did he need,
4 sons to tend to philosophy,
2 daughters to tend to him,
Widdershins runs the clock,
The clock runs widdershins,
He was a youth of 26,
His dark hair combed back slick,
His golden tongue worked many a deal,
The fork between unseen until;
The deed they had done,
He had a love he loved to bits,
He dreamt nothing but of her kiss,
But it was not to be,
Life giveth and taketh from thee,
Widdershins runs the clock,
The clock runs widdershins,
A boy of 14 ran the field,
With swarms of friends amok,
They wondered not what the future held,
Or what they're meant to be,
Sweet innocence,
Pure beauty,
The ignorance,
Brought bliss,
Widdershins runs the clock,
The clock runs widdershins,
He couldn't recall what came before,
But he could hear mother cooing calls,
And fathers soft comforting,
And then it all became a blur and nothing else was he to see...

Its a work in progress. One I'm considering scrapping less than 2 mins after its production. ;)
Sorry for the bad poetry the truth is... I'm just so tired... Spent the past few days at the state library. And by the day I mean the whole entire day! Ing Haws been kind enough to drive by and pick me up. It's pretty generous since my house is between Sg.Maong and Stargarden, while his is near tabuan. I need ta drive. Feel bad making people go outta their way. Anyway the libs actually purty fun... I mean you're knda focused on studying while you're there, so thats good, considering exams are about to bump into us around the corner and when you're tired you can just chill out with friends. Still even under the quiet of the extremely condusive and study-oriented atmosphere I can't cover more that 2 chapters. Just can't concentrate after that... Usually I fall asleep... ;) Yea that's moi 4 u.

Hey, I actually like this poem a lot. It's pretty amazing that you can come up with that in 2 minutes.
I like how you take your readers back through time with the use of repitition and the stating of timeline in every three stanzas.
You really make me feel good about myself you know? ;) No, I didn't write it in 2 mins, I meant I considered scrapping it 2 mins after finishing it. I took about half an hour to draft it out. It still needs work. ;) Thanks so much ;) I love your comments.
